Bummer

Well, I did it. I broke the camera. I am not especially good with portable electronics. For example, who can forget the time I left my phone, for some unknown reason, on the bumper of my car and drove off only to find it in the smallest of pieces at a nearby intersection? Our beloved camera that we have had for years, the one that we took halfway across the world with us. I broke it. On a concrete driveway. I guess there is only some many times you can drop something. Especially on concrete.

Here is the last picture I took:
Clara is modeling a huge shirt that Uncle Mark gave her. It was so cute on and she loved it. I wanted to take a picture of her...

I obviously was in denial that the camera could still possibly work.
Needless to say, posting might be at a minimum for a while. We do have another camera, but I have done something to that as well sometime ago and it refuses to hold a charge for even a picture. That must be why cameras have straps to hang on your wrist or neck...

Couldn't Resist Posting...

So, I was uploading my pictures from this weekend and I happened to remember a cute video I took of Taylor while staying with Shelly last week. She just turned six months and is one of the cutest babies I have ever met. Enjoy the giggle!

Happy Birthday to Me!

For my birthday this year, Adam was sweet enough to buy me a plane ticket to visit one of my very best friends, Shelly. We had a blast shopping, eating, laughing and what girls do best: talking. It was one of the best birthday presents. It was great to get away by myself while Clara was taken care of by my parents (for the first time overnight) and by Adam who managed to get off of work a bit.
When I got home, they surprised me with the most beautiful and delicious chocolate cake. Clara was especially proud of the icing and rainbow sprinkles. Clara also put the candles in (all eight of them - apparently she was figuring that each candle represented four years :)
I am one lucky lady with a very wonderful family!

Pumpkin Time is Here!

Yesterday, Adam took us to our first pumpkin patch of the season. First, you ask? Yep. It is probably the first of many. You see, I am a pumpkin addict.

My name is Stacey and I have an addiction to pumpkins. When I see one, I want to hug it and take it home.

Yes, I know it is a strange addiction but it is mine. Last year, I think Clara and I hit about six or seven different pumpkin patches. If you need a buddy to go hunt for the perfect pumpkin, I am your woman. I probably have as many Autumn/Halloween/Thanksgiving decorations as I do Christmas decorations. I have to pace myself during the pumpkin season because I know I will end up with way too many pumpkins to compost or seeds to eat. Anyway, the official Brewster pumpkin season begun yesterday with a visit to the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch. This is a great one for kids because of all the activities. We had a blast riding a mini-train, taking a hayride, climbing a hay bale mountain, jumping and bouncing on jump houses, and of course picking out our two first pumpkins of the season. Enjoy the slideshow below!

Happy First Birthday Penelope!

This weekend we visited Mark and Gretchen to help celebrate Penelope's 1st birthday. We had a great time - especially Clara, who cannot stop talking about Uncle Mark.

One of the highlights of the trip was the birthday dinner and the yummy cupcakes following dinner. Why, you ask? Well, you will see why from the pictures of Clara. All I will say is the hose had to be brought out and the beer bucket was used as a bath by Clara and Penelope. Oh, and what child decided to strip down to her birthday suit voluntarily to sit in the cold water? Yep, that would be mine.

Enjoy the pics!

Happy Birthday Penny!

Homecoming Parade

Parades - let's face it - they are a little bit corny but who doesn't love a parade? We are making the Richardson High Homecoming Parade an annual event. We always enjoy it. Last year, it was on Halloween, which was fun but a complete candy fest. I was very happy that this year it was on separate days. I mean, how can you enjoy a parade without three lollipops and twelve tootsie rolls in a span of 30 minutes? And the same with Halloween - how do you trick or treat without eating candy bars between houses? It is not possible.

This year, we were went to the parade with the Bartletts. It was super fun and everyone really enjoyed the circus theme of the parade - I mean our house is a circus on a daily basis with the exception of there aren't normally dancing bears hanging around.

Balloon Festival

Yesterday, we enjoyed the Plano Balloon Festival. In all the years we have lived here, this was our first year to attend. We had so much fun and ate a lot of food (we were in food training for the State Fair). Enjoy the pictures!

Go Tech!

19 Weeks

Sweet little boy is now the length of a mango from crown to rump (not including his legs). Believe me, his legs are super long so we might have another lanky kid on our hands! He is getting more active and strong too! He entertains me morning, noon, and evening with little bumps and kicks. I am feeling so much better, my energy is back (finally!) and my headaches have improved (thank goodness!)

It's a...

BOY!
That's right! We are having a little boy and we couldn't be more thrilled! (I know the sonogram is a little hard to read but I had to protect the family jewels!
Here is a good picture of his profile:

Pretty handsome if you ask me ;)

18 Weeks

Today, I am 18 weeks pregnant and finally really look pregnant. Adam looked at me this week and said "Wow, your pregnant" Yep, his fault. I really should take a picture soon of this growing gut :) I think I can finally pack away all my normal clothes, although I can still fit into my favorite pair of jeans if I don't button the top button but that seems a bit hillbilly - right?

Three more days until we find out the sex! Yeah - we can't wait. Any guesses out there?

Apparently, our baby is now the size of a sweet potato which sounds cute and extremely sweet but this picture has got to be the ugliest sweet potato I have ever seen. Hopefully, Microbrew the Second will come out cuter than this:

Labor Day

We had one last summertime hoorah on Labor Day. Rebecca and Bryce invited us to a waterpark and we had a blast. I don't think any of us wanted to leave. There was a sprayground and an awesome wave pool that everyone enjoyed. I really wish that I had discovered this place earlier in the summer - Clara and I would have been riding the waves everyday!

Afterwards, we enjoyed free Chick-fil-A (if you were wearing your favorite sports team logo) and don't you know all of us showed up in Texas Tech gear. You got to love free food. Clara even got to enjoy one of her absolute favorite treats - a chocolate shake.

Sweet Baby Harper

Jennifer and Derek welcomed their sweet baby Harper into the world last night. We were blessed to have met her this morning. She absolutely precious and well worth the wait! When Clara held her, she didn't want to let her go. She was in love with her baby cousin!
Congratulations Jenn and Derek!!!!

My Little Bookworm - Literally

We finally have Clara's bookshelf put together in her room and as we were figuring out how to arrange her room, Clara was a little busy...
I am still in the process of decorating her new "big girl" room. I have several paint samples up and have narrowed it down to a couple of comforters. I just need to make a few more decisions. Her room will be done before the new baby makes his/her arrival - that is my goal at least.
Think I can get it done in five months????

17 Weeks

It is amazing that I am already 17 weeks along! Even MORE amazing that 5 months from yesterday (Sept 4th) our baby will be here! We already have the birthday picked since I will be having another c-section. So let the countdown begin!

In a little over a week, we will find out the sex of our onion!
